“Samaikya Telugu Association of Rogaland” (STAR) is a Telugu organization in Rogaland County, Norway.
Norway is a multi-cultural society, which encourages its residents to preserve and promote their culture and heritage. In this regard STAR was founded in 2019 as a non-profit organization and with the aim of uniting all Telugu speaking people from all over Rogaland to promote our culture.
Our Mission
To identify and address social, cultural and educational NEEDS of Rogaland Telugu Community and Telugu people in general.
STAR aims to preserve, participate, and integrate the cultural heritage of the Telugu-speaking people into the Norwegian society.
STAR organizes various cultural and festival events and encourage kids, youth ladies and gents to showcases their talents such as singing, dancing, acting etc. During these events STAR invites all of Telugu people at one place strengthening strong social bonds and creating an environment for the preservation and growth of Telugu culture.
STAR Objectives
Maintain close collaboration, foster friendship and understanding with other social, cultural and other community organizations.
Work closely with government departments and other like minded organizations to ensure Telugu community interests are protected.
Assist people of Telugu origin in need and aid newly arrived immigrants, visitors and students.
